Spinach and White Bean Puree

Preparation of Spinach and White Bean Puree for Babies:

  1. Ingredients: Fresh spinach leaves, canned or cooked white beans, water (or low sodium vegetable broth for older babies).
  2. Cooking Spinach: Rinse the spinach leaves and steam them until they are wilted, usually about 3-5 minutes.
  3. Preparing Beans: If using canned beans, rinse them thoroughly to remove excess sodium. If using dried beans, soak and cook them until soft.
  4. Blending: Combine the spinach and white beans in a blender. Add a little water or vegetable broth to get the desired consistency.
  5. Pureeing: Blend until smooth. For older babies, a chunkier texture can be maintained.
  6. Cooling: Allow the puree to cool to a safe temperature before serving.

Suitability: This puree is suitable for babies around 8 months and older, offering a nutritious blend of protein, iron, and vitamins. Always consult with a pediatrician before introducing new foods to your baby's diet.
