Chicken and carrot belnd

Recipe and Instructions:

  1. Ingredients:
    • 1 chicken thigh (boneless and skinless)
    • 2 medium carrots
  2. Preparing the Chicken:
    • Rinse the chicken thigh and pat it dry.
    • In a pot, add enough water to cover the chicken and bring it to a boil.
    • Simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is thoroughly cooked.
    • Once cooked, let it cool and then chop it into small pieces.
  3. Preparing the Carrots:
    • Peel the carrots and slice them into rounds.
    • Boil or steam the carrot slices until they are soft, about 10-15 minutes.
    • Drain and let them cool.
  4. Making the Puree:
    • In a blender or food processor, combine the cooked chicken and carrots.
    • Blend until smooth. If needed, add a little water, breast milk, or formula to reach the desired consistency.

Assembly:

  • Serve the puree in a bowl. You can reserve a few slices of cooked carrot as finger food if your baby is ready for more texture.

Age Suitability:

  • This meal is suitable for babies aged 7-12 months. It is a great way to introduce protein from chicken and the nutritional benefits of carrots.

Always check the temperature of the puree before feeding and supervise your baby during mealtime.
